We are looking for a highly motivated researcher to join our ongoing efforts in conducting research activities related to the development of materials for selective recognition and hydrogen capture within the following topic: “Advanced Materials”

The expected start date for this position is November 1, 2023

Project Description

The successful candidate will join our experimental team in carrying out research activities at the CNR Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity, to develop graphene-based organic materials for hydrogen capture, within the framework of research on the development of materials for selective recognition and hydrogen capture and “Advanced Materials”, in relation to the Project “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE OF HYDROGEN – PORH2 – MITE”.

The job location is at CNR-ISOF Institute (Bologna, Italy).

Start date of project: 01/07/2022 end date: 31/12/2025.

Job Description/Responsibilities

You will perform experimental research, both individually and as part of our team, in the field of chemistry and materials science. Depending on your background and interests, you may contribute to aspects such as the following:

  • Functionalisation of graphene oxide
  • Organic synthesis procedures
  • Preparation of polymer-graphene composite materials
  • Characterisation techniques for graphene materials

Qualifications

a) Bachelor’s degree inChemistry, Industrial Chemistry, obtained according to the regulations in force prior to M.D. 509/99, or Master’s/Master’s Degree (M.D. May 5, 2004), of professional curriculum suitable for carrying out research activities;

b) All qualifications obtained abroad (degree diploma, doctorate and any other qualifications) must be, as a rule, previously recognized in Italy according to the legislation in force subject (information on the website of the Ministry of University and Scientific Research: https://www.mur.gov.it/ithttps://www.mur.gov.it/it/aree-tematiche/afam/offerta-formativa-afam/riconoscimenti-titoli-esteri-afam).

The equivalence of the aforementioned qualifications obtained abroad that have not already been recognized in Italy with the foreseen formal procedure mentioned above, will be evaluated, solely for the purpose of admission of the candidate for this selection, by the selection board set up pursuant to art. 6, paragraph 1 of the Disciplinary;

c) experience in the research field as described in art. 1 and in art. 4 of the official call for application;

d) knowledge of the English language;

e) knowledge of the Italian language (only for foreign candidates)

Contract Terms
This position is a full-time temporary employment for one year, renewable for multiple years.
