Emanuela Saracino Honored with the EuroMed 2025 International Award in Locorotondo

On September 12, 2025, in the beautiful setting of Locorotondo in Puglia, Dr. Emanuela Saracino of ISOF–CNR received the prestigious EuroMed 2025 International Award. The award, established biennially by OSJ Malta upon the proposal of the Magistral House in Balzan (Malta), celebrates individuals who embody values of research, social commitment, and intercultural dialogue in the world, crossing the Mediterraneo Area.

The ceremony, held in the presence of distinguished international authorities and institutions, set up the new “Mediterranean Bridge 2025–2027,” in the borgo of Locorotondo. The ceremony followed by the award ceremony, with the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Awards and the 2025 Top Professional Awards. “It would mark the establishment of a dedicated commission for the next two years to themes such as research, health and prevention, culture and education, entrepreneurship, and innovation”.

The mission of this initiative is to foster development, dialogue, and growth, creating a bridge between civilizations as a driver of change. In this context, the EuroMed 2025 International Award not only recognizes excellence but also serves to establish collaboration and progress across borders.

Dr. Saracino was honored for her commitment to social engagement and her deep passion for scientific research. In her acceptance speech, she expressed pride in being part of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), emphasizing the crucial link between peace and research as intertwined forces for a better future. with social responsibility, and how knowledge can inspire transformation and lasting impact.
