Calandra Sebastianella Gioacchino

Gioacchino Calandra Sebastianella obtained a Master’s degree cum laude in Chemistry from the University of Bologna in 2018, and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2022. His expertise lies on organic bioelectronics, implantable organic neuromorphic devices for biomedical applications, electrochemical and photoelectrochemical systems, biosensors, and graphene-based materials. He currently works at National Research Council (CNR) in Bologna, where he focuses on functional polymeric materials for 3D printing technologies applied to prosthetic development.

Chemical characterization of commercial materials for 3D printing, development of carbon-derived additives for polymer matrices, processing of biocompatible materials from powders and pellets, and extrusion of innovative composite filaments.
