  • Biography
Francesca Tinti graduated in Industrial Chemistry in 2002 and obtained her PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2008 from the University of Bologna. Immediately after, she began working at ISOF-CNR in Bologna, where she has been a Researcher since 2019. Her research activity focuses on the study of conjugated organic materials in the field of organic electronics and third-generation photovoltaics. She has participated in several national projects and collaborations with academic and industrial partners aimed at the development of sustainable photovoltaic technologies.
  • Research
I study conjugated organic materials for organic solar cells (BHJ), focusing on charge mobility, nanostructure and device losses. My research aims to improve efficiency, stability and sustainability through green solvents and scalable processes.
  • Keywords
Organic solar cells (BHJ) • Conjugated organic materials • Charge carrier mobility • Sustainable photovoltaics • Advanced electrical characterization
  • ERC Sectors
    PE4_17 Characterisation methods of materials
    PE5_1 Structural properties of materials
    PE5_15 Polymer chemistry
  • Technical And Instrumental Skills
Deposition of organic films (spin-coating, doctor blade), deposition using a vacuum evaporator, impedance spectroscopy, and techniques for measuring charge transport properties (TOF, IS, SCLC, CELIV).
