Ferroni Claudia

MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Bologna. From 2007 to 2018, I worked as a research fellow at the Institute of Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity (ISOF), where I became a permanent researcher in 2020 and a senior researcher in 2023. In 2011, I was a visiting scientist at the National Cancer Institute (NCI, USA), and in 2015 I completed specialised training in cell cultures at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute. I am the author of over 45 scientific publications and 2 book chapters, have presented my work at 7 international conferences, and have been involved in supervision and editorial review activities since 2017.

Design, synthesis and characterization of new anticancer drugs, and bioresponsive prodrugs. ; Preparation of polymeric and protein-based nanoparticles as delivery vehicles of different anticancer drugs (chemotherapeutics, antiCSC agents, photosensitizers, epigenetics etc.) for treating various solid tumors.
