Armaroli Nicola

He works in solar energy conversion and studies the energy transition. Author of over 250 scientific papers and 12 books, he has lectured worldwide and advises international agencies and companies on energy and resources. Among the most highly cited Italian scientists, he is a member of the Italian National Academy of Sciences, director of the magazine Sapere, and a Fellow of Chemistry Europe and the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has received numerous awards and honors and actively contributes to the public debate on energy across all media.

Photochemistry and photophysics, focusing on photoinduced processes and luminescent materials. He develops systems for converting light into electricity and fuels, based on supramolecular systems, coordination complexes, and nanomaterials. He also studies the energy transition process.
