On May 14, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Research Area Congress Center of Bologna (Via P. Gobetti 101, 40129 Bologna, Italy) will host a full-day study event dedicated to the practical applications of magnetic resonance in industry.
The initiative is co-organized by the Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity (CNR-ISOF), the Magnetic Resonance Thematic Group of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), and GIDRM – Gruppo Italiano di Discussione Risonanze Magnetiche.
Event Overview:
The program includes:
- 9 scientific lectures delivered by industry researchers from diverse production sectors, including:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Automotive
- Polymers
- Adhesives and sealants
- Food additives
- One round table discussion
- Three dedicated networking sessions
Throughout the day, speakers will present industrial applications of magnetic resonance techniques, encouraging dialogue between industry, public research institutions, and academia. The event aims to highlight ongoing research activities, foster collaboration and create shared growth opportunities across sectors.
Objectives:
The primary goal of the study day is to promote the use of non-destructive analytical techniques for structural investigation, particularly in:
- The identification of biologically active molecules
- The development of innovative materials
The initiative also seeks to encourage the exchange of methodologies and best practices among companies, research institutions, and universities, thereby stimulating technology transfer and strengthening connections between research and industrial production.
