. (1973 - Ascoli Piceno, Italy) got the master degree in Chemistry (supervisor: Prof. V. Balzani; co-examiner: Dr. N. Armaroli) at the University of Bologna (1999). After a scientific research period (2000-2003), he got the PhD in Chemical Sciences (2004-2006) under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Juris. Currently, he is a researcher at ISOF-CNR.

His scientific interests are in Photoinduced energy- and electron-transfer processes in supramolecular systems and nanostructures containing fullerenes, transition metal complexes, aromatic conjugated oligomers and porphyrins. The photochemistry and photophysics of luminescent materials, such as rare earth emitters, d-block metal coordination compounds and organic fluorophores, are also usually investigated as well as materials for light energy conversion and lighting technology.

Since 2000, he published nearly 80 research papers and book chapters and participate at several national and international research projects.
