Dr. Andrea Barbieri

Andrea Barbieri was born 1961 in Modena (Italy) got a summa cum laude degree in Chemistry at the University of Modena in 1985 and a PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Ferrara (Italy) in 1991. Since 1997 he is a PhD Researcher of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), now at the Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity (ISOF).
He is a physical chemist experienced in steady-state (absorption and emission) and time-resolved (TCSPC) optical electronic spectroscopy. Along his career he got acquainted with electrochemical techniques and nuclear (NMR) and electron (EPR) magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
He participated several National and European projects in the frame of EU-FP6, EU-FP7 and ESF-COST
programmes, acting as Principal Investigator in the EU-FP6 STReP project
NMP3-CT-2006-032636 (STRuctured scintillators for medical imagING-STRING).
