The
Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity
(ISOF -L'Istituto per la Sintesi Organica
e la Fotoreattività), was formed
on the 2nd January 2002 by the merging of
2 CNR Research Institutes and 2 CNR Research
Centres:
The Institute of Carbon Compounds
containing Heteroatoms and their
Applications (ICoCEA - Istituto
dei Composti del Carbonio contenenti
Eteroatomi e loro Applicazioni);
The
Institute of Photochemistry and
High-Energy Radiation (FRAE -
Istituto di Fotochimica e Radiazioni
ad Alta Energia);
The
Centre for the Study of the Physics
of Macromolecules (Centro
di Studio per la Fisica delle
Macromolecole) in the Dept. of
Chemistry "G. Ciamician", at
the University of Bologna;
The
Centre for the Study of Photochemistry
and Catalysis (Centro di Studio
su Fotochimica e Catalisi) in
the Dept. of Chemistry at the
University of Ferrara.
Director:
Dott. Roberto Zamboni
The
Institute has its main centre
in the CNR Bologna Research Area 1
with a separate
site in Ferrara 2.
