Acknowledgements

The XII EUCHEM Conference on Organic Free Radicals was held in Bologna on June 28-July 2, 2010 together with the annual meeting of the COST Action CM0603 on "Free Radicals in Chemical Biology"  (July 1-2, 2010).

A very intense program of lectures and poster discussions was going on during the week, thus showing the vividness and strong innovation that free radicals continue to bring to scientific research.

We think that every participant enjoyed the ample scenario of free radical applications, from chemical synthesis to biological mechanisms and materials, and the possibility of fruitful ideas and collaborations that has been stimulated during the Conference context.

The facilities of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), the beautiful of the Bologna city, the social happenings and the food choices have done the rest for the successful outcome of the event.

We really hope that everyone has brought back home a good memory of our Bologna Conference. For us, it was an honor and a pleasure to see all of you!
